My daughter told me the other day that she wants something for a reward if and when she receives her medal at the end of the school year. I was thinking that she might ask for an ipod nano 8Gb, but to my surprise, a cellular phone to bring with her anytime. I reasoned with her saying that she do not need a cellular phone because we are mostly together, and that she goes with a car pool to school, or my father would take her to school and fetch her too. But she too reasoned with me and said that it is necessary during emergencies, for her to call me, if and when something would happen. I told her that I would think about it first..
Sop now, I am pretty much thinking about the pros and cons of giving my daughter a phone. After all, a reward should make her set more goals in the future.
