Lili is fond of watching Handy Manny and Dora the Explorer aside form all the other shows on Playhouse Disney. I just love these two cartoon series because Lili gets to study a little Spanish as the shows are really intended for Hispanics to easily get a grip of the English language. Good to start them young, don’t you think? And when they get a bit older, surely there will be more DVD teaching Foreign Language for Young Children available for parents to purchase for this purpose.
At home we speak three languages that I am sure, will be very helpful with Lili’s studies as she will progress in the years to come. I am so happy that with the movies, cartoon series and other TV shows, she is able to get fresh ideas, new words to learn and of course, she is able to play with words as easily as her favorite characters would. I was thinking of incorporating some Japanese to the words we learn as I think, it will also be beneficial for me. If I have kids to practice speaking Nipponggo, then it will not be difficult to parcatice at all…
